Community Profile

The East Prairie Métis Settlement is a massive block of land buried in the Big Lakes Foothills south of Highway 2 and features the East Prairie River snaking through it north to south. The town site is roughly 50 kilometres southeast of High Prairie at the end of the paved section of Range Road 161. The 2012 settlement census recorded 345 members living in the community.

Recreation: Communiplex and courtyard, hockey rink, baseball diamonds, horseshoe pits, quadding, hunting, and fishing.
